April: Blending New With Old
I worked on projects for three new clients this month:
- a general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction
- a platform of applications that streamline construction businesses
- a construction-related publication I’m excited to announce in the future
I continued working with previous clients, one of which is under new marketing guidance and implementing really great editorial strategies. So there were a lot of exciting changes this month. Here are a few of the projects I worked on this month.
- Wrote a case study about concrete repair in California
- Completed a blog post about a contractor’s sustainability efforts to celebrate Earth Day
- Completed a case study about a construction project that used automated layout to improve efficiency
- Submitted an article about construction equipment for a new-to-me construction publication
- Worked on a series of articles about technology to improve construction business operations
Key Takeaway
My return to freelancing has made me a better writer. Since January, I’ve pushed myself to focus on new areas of construction and learn new editing and writing techniques that have elevated my abilities.
I continue to be impressed by the construction industry and feel like it’s on the precipice of making meaningful change to processes that will lead to a more efficient industry. And I’m excited to watch it happen!
