January: Back to Freelancing With Case Studies and Editing
January marked my return to freelancing. After approximately a year of being on staff with a communications firm, I decided to return to my freelance roots. I missed the variety of working for myself and on diverse projects.
- Proofed winter issue of a pavement magazine. (One of my favorite editing tasks is proof reading magazines. Nerdy, I know.)
- Case study about a project that was so complex, it was only possible thanks to robotic layout technology. There’s nothing more exciting than technology advancing the construction industry.
Key Takeaway
The freelance world looks surprisingly different than when I was in it five years ago. It’s far more saturated and competitive. So far, the joy of independent work is outweighing the risk. I’ve always enjoyed a little risk over monotony, anyway. Here’s to a great year!
